I'm gonna be tuff to get ahold of for awhile

My next 7 days are gonna be nuts! Tomorrow, Shelly and I leave for the Great wolf Lodge in Sandusky. For those not familiar with it, it's a great big indoor water park and kid haven. Shelly loves it. Carly is too little...so, she'll stay with her mom, but Shelly stays in that freakin' pool ALL DAY LONG. I'll come back with bleach white hair i'm afraid...but i'm really looking forward to the break. i need it, and she'll love it..and the food is good...so it will be a blast.

In the meantime, my lawyer is going to go over the divorce judgement shan's lawyer will have drafted up...i won't even see it till i get back..but he will and that's good enuff for me..i already know what's gonna be in it..but still, i'm playing massive email/phone/fax tag to get that all lined up, so my lawyer can get a copy from shan's lawyer, review it, go over it with me, and make any changes with shan's lawyer by 3/7..when the date is final..it's been a stressful day with that looming over...that's for sure.....

3/7 i'll feel relieved...to say the least. and it's going well..i'm happy with things...and am very excited for the next stage of my life.

But before that...3/6..i have jury duty. Talk about your all time bad timing..i put it off once already, so i have to go to this one..sucks...

i'm attaching a pic of the room me and shelly will be staying in for the next couple days..not bad...cheap..and again..the food is great!!

THE FINALE!!!

Well, To my surprise...everyone on my team at work (about 10 people) watched the finale' of dancing with the stars last night. Which, made me relieved to no end that I could openly talk about it and share some theories...

Theory one: Stacy Kiebler got hosed. Granted, Drew and Cheryl were gonna probably win either way...but come on..Jerry Rice was brutal compared to her. The fans calling in to vote saved him week after week, but this was just wrong. Plus he's no where near as hot as Stacy..i actually found this interesting bit of info on the voting and the HISTORY of the voting on this show..check out this blurb...

"Rice's second-place finish was something of an upset in that WWE wrestling star Stacy Keibler and partner Tony Dovolani were in second on the judges' cards, and Rice and Trebunskaya in third, after Thursday's and Sunday's combined three final dances. ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne, returning to his frilly dance shirt after being the season's first casualty, joked, or maybe not, that the scoring system, which incorporates viewer votes, was "erratic."

Mayne's jab no doubt stung a bit. Dancing with the Stars was beset with voting-practice conspiracy theories during its inaugural run last summer. So loud was the outcry, and so great was the promise of big ratings, that first-season winners General Hospital actress Kelly Monaco and Alec Mazo were corralled by ABC to participate in a "dance-off" last September with runner-ups John O'Hurley and Charlotte Jorgensen.

Monaco lost the rematch but was in the audience on Sunday night, along with Mazo, to watch her crown symbolically passed to Lachey. "

Good old Kenny Mayne...

Theory 2: not mine, but from my friend julie at work "okay, Samantha the hostest from Dancing with the Stars, is a man, seriously do you hear her voice, he is soooo annoying, I really think she's a tranny!"

I can see it...

Theory 3: They need a 3rd show. The first season i thought was a joke..i mean, come on..evander holyfield was in it for crying out loud and this one actually looks like it garnered some good ratings

Theory 4: You guys see master P? Great stuff
Theory 5: Alright..i'm going back thru this and none of these are really theories..but i'm still labeling like they are...Cheryl Burke LOVES Drew Lachey..you see her when she gave him that baby outfit for his soon to be born child? His wife HAS to be on defcon 1 whenever her name comes up...she was just GLOWING at drew that hole show while is poor wife..who has considerable baby wait going on to say the least is glued to nick lachey's brother at a side table

Theory 6: I really want to party with these professional dancers. The chicks, which i've said before are all off the charts hot. Most of the dancers have great accents you can have fun with..they all can dance..the one guy on the intro last night moonwalked around the entire crowd for crying out loud. Who wouldn't want to party with these kinds of people??

Theory 7: i've been thinking of people i'd love to see on this show if/when it comes back..Emmanuel Lewis...Mike Ditka...Jane Seymour...Christopher Walken..Anna Kournikova...it's endless!!!

Alright..i'm done talking about this show..i'm writing too much about it as it is...i'll miss it tho.

Dancing With The Stars!!!

I love this show. It's one of my vices for some reason...i thought it was a joke at first when the first series came along and evander holyfield was on it. This one though has several things going for it.

1) The chicks are the hottest girls on the planet. All just unbelievably hot..i'm sure women think the same thing about the guys..but seriously..the chicks are just off the hot scale. And they are dancing and throwing their goods around in next to nothing during the whole show.

2) They incorporate older and current songs into a ballroom format. For instance, last night couples danced to WHAM! and Michael Jackson's Thriller.

3) The guy that hosts America's funniest home videos hosts this show. He's the best straight man on tv. By that i mean, he's hard not to like, and hard to like..he's just who is...his co host is some woman who dances once in awhile and gets inexplicably tanner each episode. Basically, tho, she's just eye candy.

4) Stacy kiebler. She's just smokin' in this show. Worth to check it out if nothing else

5) Drew Lachey and his dancin partner, professional dancer Cheryl Burke. Drew is great. He's short, he's funny, he's Nick's brother, he's got a quick temper with the judges..he's always got a great schtick when he knows the camera's are on him backstage..his wife is pregnant and always sitting with big bro nick and he's the best male dancer on the show. I'm a big Drew lachey fan. What helps him tho the most is he got paird with Cheryl, who not only is the hottest professional dancer, but also the best professional dancer. She really makes him look good..and like Stacy kiebler....worth to tune in to see.

6) Jerry Rice made the finals with the above mentioned two celebs even tho he's BY FAR THE WORST DANCER IN THE SHOW FROM THE GET GO. he's only still around cause he's jerry rice. The crowd chants " JERRY..JERRY...JERRRY..." after each performance..it's great. I mean, you know you are as famous as it can get when you completely suck at something and everyone still wants to see you win even tho the judges and everyone watchign knows you are the worst. But hey, it's fan vote...so he's gonna be a tuff out.

7) The judges. They are professional ballroom judges which is like calling me a professional hamburger eater. Hilarious. A good looking woman who is the nutbuster..an old englishman who tries to be a nutbuster but loves everyone and an overly giddy gay eastern european man who absolutely loves everyone.

8) The unintentional comedy is off the scale..i mean seriously think about. Re-worked 80's music..B-List celebs dancing..half naked dancers...the guy from AFV..how can you top this??

Basically, i find my self never looking for this show, but always catching it..and then subsequently catching myself wearing a stupid grin on my face like i just walked in on some hot people having sex. The season finale is sunday at 8 before Grey's Anatomy and i strongly recommend checking it out. It's a good watch. My prediction? Drew Lachey wins with Cheryl Burke..they are the best couple..with Stacy keibler as a dark horse and Jerry rice only if the fans totally over vote for him.

My Dad and Brother and the Crying Game

In talking to someone else the conversation went to "yeah, brokeback mountain would be weird to watch..but wouldn't it be even more weird to watch with someone else?" Most folks go with SOMEONE to see a movie..so i don't see why this would be any different..but word of mouth has some pretty strong gay sex scenes in this...who would you feel comfortable with in watching that with in a crowded theater while eating a hotdog and softpretzel? Your mom? Your dad? A best friend?

So, my point here is this got me thinking to a time back when i was in college and my brother was still at home with my dad and they'd rent video's some times to watch together. One night, Jeff rented "The Crying Game" thinking it would be a good suspense flick for him and dad to watch together....Obviously, if you are familiar with the crying game..it backfired..and in the process created a great conversation I had with jeff that i still cherish to this day:

Him: you ever watch the crying game?
Me: No..that's the one with...
Him: yeah, yeah....you ever watch gay porn?
Me: no..
Him: Well, that's what it was like.
Me: huh, that must have been uncomfortable
Him: yeah, imagaine watching gay porn alone and how uncomfortable that would be and now imagine watching it with DAD like i did.

That convo is embellished i'm sure...but i'm still chuckling in an evil way audibly while i type.

Some more thoughts on Waiting....

I re-watched Waiting again last night....and I couldn't decide what character i liked the best. Ryan Reynold's character Monty is the obvious choice cause he's the most blatantly funny all the way thru...then i began leaning toward Mitch, the new guy..cause he just looks funny the whole way thru...however, at the end of the movie the angry chick stole my heart. Her scene at the end was one of the funniest i've seen in any movie. Great stuff..one of my favorite movie scenes of all time.

here's a link off one of my gmail RSS feeds....i don't see the immediate benefits of this, but i bet the folks at KFC are frothing at the mouth about the possibilites...

Your probably right. I apologize for putting you in a
hole with the stats it was not my intention, just my
only choice at the time. In addition I know that you
tried to be as fair as possible with this, as you
always do, it just pissed me off that I got fucked,
when I thought that I made the right things happen.
It's my own fault, and acting like my two year old son
and taking it out on you isn't making me feel any
better. I have taken the darvaset and am starting to
return to reality. Sorry for the trouble and hope
everything works out for the league.

Another great email..

I stumbled across this one...this in one way sums up why i love and can barely stand fantasy football at the same time. This exchange involves me heavily..and i know some of you have seen it already...but since this gjy has bee banished from the leauge shortly after this exchange...i've had ZERO headaches..we cut off the head of the snake in other words. I hope you all enjoy how Retardedly intense this conversation is over fantasy football..and only those who play can really understand...

Josh,

Gnerally I never say a word regarding anything when it
comes to fantasy. I have done the stats consistantly
and have never bitched nor complained nor brought up
anything. If I was going to cheat, one I wouldn't do
it, two I definitely would not do it against Den.
Because I was sick I did not check my e-mail until
after I sent in my line-up. After seeing that I got
Smith I immediately instant messaged Eric because he
was on line at the time and it was close to the
deadline and I wanted to make sure that it got in. I
talk to him constantly this way each day. I sent it
to him then logged off the computer. No offense to
you, and understanding that this costs one of us the
game either way, this is bullshit. People, including
you have turned things into me over the past years
late and I have put them in for them, people have
called me and left messages on my phone with line-ups
(NOT EMAIL) and I have processed it. Quite honestly
whether I win or lose doesn't really matter, what
matters to me is that when everyone else does this
shit I have dealt with it, and went on. When I do it
I get screwed. You can call Todder up and make fun of
my ass all you want right now because I know you get
off on it, but this fucking sucks. I sent the line-up
change over to Joffe, I have no reason to lie,
especially with Den.

Tony

Not sure why you are so bitter toward me Tony. First of all, you've been in the league for several years and know..all transactions must be done over email.

Secondly, I know you've made exceptions over the years, Joffe and I did just last week and I did many times in the years before as well. People forget crap all the time. In fact, nobody even saw your lineup the first two weeks, which is also a pretty big benefit, considering you were doing the stats. However, none of them were changes that were REALIZED after the games were over. I really hope nobody ever asked to change their lineup after the games were done, cause that is just wrong. Again, no one is saying you are lying. WE all believe you, we just can't prove it. The problem is that you didn't email in the request. THERE IS NO RECORD WE CAN LOOK AT. If you were Den how would you feel? If I IM'D someone and asked them to see a movie with me that night and I never heard back, I wouldn't go to the theater and expect to see them there. I really am sorry it has to be this way. I talked to 6 different people to get their thoughts too on the situation and everyone felt the same, 4 of them are friends at work who are in leagues of their own since I wanted some other outside opinions.

Its been a stressful week in this league as for whatever reason you decided to stop doing stats out of the blue, when I had told you before if you need help at anytime let me know. Instead of giving me warning so I could help and figure something out, you dropped it on us with no grace period. I asked you what was wrong and If I could help and instead you ignored me and vaguely said you didn't have any time. Which in my book was bullshit as well. The irony of the whole thing is if you were still doing stats this would never have been a problem.

We all want this league to be fun Tony. We all want to enjoy the games and nobody wants to screw anyone, least of all Joffe who is 1-7 and has no reason to. Sometimes this shit just happens. I don't want to have a black cloud over the season because of this. Also, I feel tension writing this as I also haven't received your check yet for the league. I really hope my answer doesn't depend on receipt of it, because I have to go with what is fair and unfortunately in your case it's fair that glenn not smith remain your receiver. There just isn't anything showing me it's fair to do anything else. -----Original Message-----

(tony) Has decided to leave our fantasy football league. Tony did A LOT of work for us over the past few years and he'll be missed. we wish him well!

I am working on two different options for the league to not miss a beat right now. I should have them out to everyone else by the end of the day.

side note:Tony emailed me the next day apologizing and wanted back in the leauge...too late. I replaced him 10 seconds after our email exchange was over with Darnell and have never looked back...

Reviews as of late...

Well, in the apt..i've found i have time to do things i haven' done in a LONG while. Watching movies and playing my xbox..which had significant dust on it..a sad thing. So, here's my reviews on what i've taken in lately:

XBOX: I played GUN first..which is a western shooter game (most of the games i play involve shooting..the first person shooters are my favorites). I liked this game for a couple reasons 1) Cool backdrop on the 1800's western front 2) It wasn't hard..no puzzles that you have to solve that make you frustrated cause you have no idea what you are supposed to do or where to go 3) VERY easy to follow and 4) It was quick. I plowed thru this game in less then a week with minimal time. My favorite feature of the game was the voice acting they hired to play the characters. Thomas Jane (from the punisher and one of the all time underrated suspense flix ever Deep Blue Sea) was the lead character Colt you, the player control. Tom Skerrit (picket fences and Alien)was your best friend and the immortal Lance Henrikksen (from AlienS..not Alien.and a jean claude-Van Damm flick i can't think of) was the nemesis.

Good game..solid B grade.

Next, I played Far Cry. LOVED this game. One of my favorite games i've ever played..set in modern times on a tropical island..your character (played by the diminuitive stephen dorf) is a charter boat captain..when all of a sudden, his boat gets blown out of the water and he has to survive on an island with a bunch of merceneries..he gets injected along the way with a syrum that morphs him into s a beast of some kind as well..so we, the player get the best of both worlds..great guns and shooting mechanics and the ability to clobber someone and send em flying 100 yards away. Overall, just a lot of fun to play..again, easy puzzles to figure out..never was confused where to go and the graphics were great.

GRADE: A-

Movies: Doom 3

I've always had and always will have a soft spot in my heart for the Rock. I just like the guy and if he's in a flick, i'll see it eventually...(besides Walking Tall..that just looks gay). So, at the video store it was between WAITING and DOOM 3...The Rock won out. This movie got slammed in the reviews and i had very low expectations of it..but i had played the game Doom 3 and liked it and ya know what? the movie really exceeded my hopes. It wasn't great by any means..but the story was good...the acting, cheesy, the monsters good and great suspense...Nothing remotely scary, just what you'd expect out of this flick and it worked. The Rock had a great twist at the end too...

Grade: B- a good renter

WAITING: Okay, i've only seen this flick about 3/4 of the way thru...but i can honestly say it's one of the best flix i've seen on dvd in a long time. It's hilarious. The story of what it's like to work at a mythical restaurant and what goes on behind the scenese...Ryan Reynolds and his mom have an especially hilarious discussion over dinner...Dane Cook is the dirtball chef..it's just a great flick..i can't wait to get home to watch the rest tonight. This is one of those flix that you see in the store and say "you know, that looked good when i saw commercials for it ontv...maybe if the video store doesn't have anything else, i'll check it out sometime.." Well, this should be number one priority to get.

GRADE: A

My meeting yesterday

I had an interesting meeting yesterday with one of my bosses. We were talking about some thing, when all of a sudden, she got really emotional talking about a "previous" meeting where others began questioning her ability in a joking manner. Basically what happened was all the mgrs here left today for a big shooters meeting in Phoenix. So, it's a running joke that the mgrs don't know how to sell well, or the pricing of our products, or how to use the products, etc..cause they are always doing other things. So, as soon as that was brought up about thier retreat, another guy goes "Well, if all the mgrs are going on a retreat for our software who is going to be demonstrating how it works??" it was a good laugh..however, it really bothered this other mgr..and sure enuff..with me she began crying..ugh. Wasn't looking for that..so i reassured her it was a generic joke that person made, and we do respect her..it seemed to help....THEN we got around to the age old topic of me in here about me becoming a leader and more outspoken in trying to proactively help those around me..which i always do if they ask me. I'm not proactive with it often tho..i'm busy and am focused on my success more then theirs obviously. I've always said if they pay me more, sure, i'll be proactive.

But i'm not a mgr...so the actual quote that was used to entice me with this time was the following: "You know how popular around this department you are right? I mean, you do know that. Everyone wants to be around you and hangs on your every word..i hear other reps talk about and it's mentioned in our manager meetings too. (Here comes the best part). You are like the cool kid in high school everyone wants to be with." end of quote. I took that as a compliment..it's always been my dream to turn this place from the uber professional setting it was when i started here almost 7 years ago to it being one more bad bathroom joke away from becoming a high school cafeteria. I can safely say i've almost achieved that goal.

More Scott Stapp

"YOU AIN'T THE ONLY ONE WITH A GLOCK!"

Two great links here that show exactly why i love the NFL and why i LOVE celebrity gossip..the first is a quick one about NFL player Tank Johnson of the Chicago Bears...it's hard to believe the situation turned ugly after his quote on my headline above...the second one involves Scott Stapp who has become a world famous awful drunk. Great article about him getting arrested just a few hours after his wedding for bein' smashed in an airport..the fight he started with the band 311..and how he demanded to take a breahalyzer test to prove he wasn't drunk only to blow a .18 What a boob.

Why I love technology

Where else could you learn about this? http://ask.yahoo.com/20060210.html don't worry, it's not racy..but it's still interesting. Another reason to be thankful for advertising. Sex sells!

Here's my soapbox moment now. Get Gmail. If you don't have it yet..get it now. The spam filters are the best out there..the organization possibilities are the best to keep and record and track all your old emails, the RSS feeds are great. This is where you can put automatic links from the top/most current news story on the sites you normally visit and updates them regularly. So you can just go to one place and quickly browse all the info that you are interested in knowing from the web quickly and easily. I find myself browsing thru my RSS feeds on gmail a few times a day at work..i've noticed it really cuts down on my net surfing time. Heck, you can even use my blog as one! They have their tool bar and side bars..which, I don't use yet...so I don't have much of an opinion on them..however, the gmail notifier is nice..it's a little envelope in the corner of your screen and when you get new mail, it highlights the message and tells you who it's from, the subject, the first sentence..so you can go out and there and check the whole thing if you like instanty...and SOON...they are integrating google talk with gmail. Which means, no additional things to download..like aol or yahoo..when you go to gmail, you can just click on someone's name and start talking to them live..no additional applets! Plus, you can save your chats if you want! Plus, you can search your emails or the web with a click of the button..man, they own the world.

Good stuff...i was reminded of another cool link that i haven't mentioned in awhile.. Pandora.com it used to be 10 free hours..now it's totally free forever. Great stuff..pick a song, sit back and enjoy...it selects the songs "similar" to the song you inputted..so it's like one huge song sampler.

Anyone else get the giggles about...

The Fact Vice President Dick Chaney Shot someone this weekend? I know it's serious..but i can't stop from chuckling about that. It just sounds funny. Apparently he shot up one of his hunting buddies while they were quail hunting..ala Wedding Crashers. You KNOW he was probably 2/3 of the way down some apple pucker bottle when he had a heart murmur, burped up some booze and unloaded some buckshot in one of his pals'...great story. I'll write more again in a bit about the weekend..i got a big week ahead too...

New Template!!

What you guys think? you like it? I wanted to mix it up..the black was pretty marouse (sp) and thought having the lighthouse was a nice change of pace. I'm fond of it actually. It's actually called HARBOR...which i thought was significant as well since a harbor has a lot things coming and going and is constantly changing it's scenery, much as I am right now.

Update..big meeting on 2/15 with shan's lawyer. i should have a ruff sketch of my finances (finally) after coming out of that. Which will be a big relief. From there I'm taking it to the Fink's to look at for me...they will hook me up and are WAY smarter then shan's attorney..i'm sure of that..to make sure it's a fair shake..but i'm confident it will be. Went by the house again the other day and the roof is almost done! Those things fly up there and my yard is THE BEST BY FAR in the sub. I'm really patting myself on the back for choosing a smaller home takin' the larger yard. The bigger homes have zero yard. Many of em' won't even be able to have a deck i bet...so i'm pleased withmyself on that front. Then 3/7..the D is final...finally. and 3/21 i close on my house tentatively....

The apt is still goin' good..i've been unreal busy the past few weeks tho and haven't cashed in on living across the street from the bowling alley neaerly as much as i thought i would have by now. But things will calm down after tuesday...thankfully.

The big profit sharing dinner is tomorrow night in Livonia, then me , my buddy timmy and a bunch of others i believe are headin' over to Weber's after where i'll be stayin' the night. This dinner is usually where i pull out the impressions' i've been saving up all year of my co-workers, bosses and other superiors..never a good idea..but always a good time. i'll have a good story next blog i'm sure of it!

Sunday

The last day in my Bordello of Booze weekend.

Got Carly...Shelly went to church and took her to breakfast with me like I do with the girls at least once a weekend. All the waitresses and hostesses in there know us really well now..so it's usually a good time..except when Carly tries takin' off her clothes...then not so good.

Anywho, Shelly was brought over for a few hours later in the afternoon..then i took both of them over to their grandma's house as i embarked over to my friend McKillen's house for the superbowl. I decided to go with jack daniels this nite...i had had mostly beer up to this point along with a couple mixed drinks and handful of shots friday...and wanted to mix it up as beer just didn't sound good. I also brought a cake..with a football on it. They had a great spread..jay's sister cooked a bunch of stuff and we watched the game and played hold em' again..more people..bigger pot and i finished third this time. I've decided...that even tho i don't necessarily always recognize what i have in my hand..that i'm a pretty darn good hold em' player. I knocked out Scot again from the tourney..which I usually do. Love that. I won another $40..so it wasn't a bad night.

Came home around 11ish..just whipped...my body felt like it was full of bubbly mold. Parts of my buddy were just gurgling...like my elbows and back..i know they were craving detox.

That's it..that's my trilogy of terrifficness. I"m takin' a break on the booze this week..till saturday anywho, when we have our company dinner. My buddy tim is in town for it from Baltimore, so i have to tie one on with him :)

Saturday

Alright, Day 2: Started off with me waking up to Todd's daughters watching cartoons at 7:30 am and me feeling like i just woke up from under a wet rug. Didn't feel well. Fuzzy..dizzy...breath was like gasoline. So, I pretty much just threw on my clothes...put my shirt on backwards..which i do a lot when i'm not hungover or drunk..and headed straight out to get the girls. Their grandpa was in town and Shelly is really close with him, so she wanted to stay with him for the day, which on most days would bum me out..but today i had ZERO problems with in my current state. Carly couldn't wait to go and come with me tho..so I scooped her up and out we went to the video store (to get my weekly rentals of movies for the girls which is a steady diet of batman for shelly and barney and dora for carly) and to hit the grocery store, as my fridge was running on fumes...literally. That thing still kinda stinks.

Really, the day was pretty lowkey after that...Carly watching her cartoons and me feeling miserable on the sofa. About 6ish Shan came over and grabbed Carly and I left to go down to Wanty's for the night. I hadn't seen Kev in some time, so I was looking forward to hanging with him and his "possee" which turns out were his friends kirby and cathy and his mom and her boyfriend...and some guy named tripp. We played Texas Hold em'..which I won...i've really been on a roll with the cards lately..and then watched the UFC pay per view, which i always enjoy whenever I catch it...This nite, I actually was in bed by 2 tho!

Got up again at 8 the next day..felt totally fine. I had about 10 beers that night and had almost no ill affects...pretty sure that's a sign my body is adapting to the enormous alcohol intake from the previous day......

The Breakdown

My weekend is finally over today...on Tuesday. I was going to break it down in one long blog..but decided that blog is just too big for anyone to ever want to read it all in one sitting. So, i've decided to break it down day by day 3 succinct entries. I'm not gonna talk about yesterday cause it was all just house keeping crap and detox.

Friday: What started off slow ended up being one of the most fun nights i've had in a very long time. Went out to Todd's about 11ish friday am. His daughter was sick, so we couldn't do anything till his wife Sue came home. She got home and we were off to the zoo to get onboard the shuttle to go downtown. The line was HUGE and frankly..it was pretty freakin' cold. Luckily, i had my Chris Spielman Brown's jersey on to keep me warm. Couple older ladies in front with we joked around alot with. They were going to the kid rock concert that night too....along with about half the line. After an hour, of waiting, we got on board (thanks to Todd, since the bus took exactly change and I only had 20's..he had a five, so he coughed up the extra buck). We only were on the bus about 10 minutes or so till we got downtown...which we immediately noticed an abundance of open parking..ugh. However, it still was good not to have a car down there..too crazy. So, we had our tix to the nfl experience at Cobo...and we never went...(Todd actually bought 4 sets of tix since we missed the earlier show with his daughter..4 sets of tix that never got used). We met up with a couple friends at the Buzz bar downtown..just past the rencen. Had a few beers...got a buzz..of course..and we left. We decided to walk downtown toward the winterfestival where we spotted Fox2 Sports anchor Woody Woodriffe..who i promptly humiliated..ME: Hey, woodie..who's that girl on your arm? She looks too young to be your wife! Woody: hey, man, don't be playin me that way player...Me: Hey, whatever, sweetheart! lean in there and give The wood a kiss while i take your picture with him! Wooody (gettin' smooched): Don't you got somewhere else to be??

I got some good pics of that tho....

Then we went into some make shift bars down town that were just abandoned stores it looked like that people had renovated for the week into a bar. Prices could havebeen WAY worse...but they had music and alohol and usually an abandoned escalator leading downstairs to a hole in the ground with a curtain in front if it for a bathroom. But overall pretty cool. It was at our second one of these places that Todd said out of the blue "hey, let's buy those two goofy lookin' girls some shots". i said "WHY??" He said..."Good Karma..listen, neither of us are lookin' at hookin'up..but when you do a nice thing for someone, it pays it'self back later in the night." So, i took my sinsei's words. Sure enuff....the girls began hangin' around us, wanting to dance, etc. Finally, we both realized our karma sucked..when one of the girls said "hey, do you guys want to come to a party with us?" We said sure..cause we were just going from one bar to another...and before we knew it we were inside one of the old skyscrapers right off the fesitval. Security was in there...frisked us down and put us in an elevator the 20th floor. The doors open up and i see a red carpet..huge pictures of angelina jolie, ben affleck and jennifer aniston, and a backdrop with TLC on it like you'd see at an awards show. Then, i look further over and see Dr. Funkenstein himself, George Clinton step on stage and do a concert for about 2 hours at airplane engine like decibels. Todd goes up to the bar and comes back with drinks for us and says..."THE DRINKS ARE FREE!!" Not sure what happened to those chix..cause frankly, we separated them shortly after we figured out Free concert and Free Booze = Great time! Everyone in there was dressed to the nine's...suits...ties...nice dresses..the bling bling...and me and todd wearing our football jerseys. Which, actually turned out to be a great call..we stood out in the crowd and both of us were on comedic fire.

We left there around 2 maybe..putzed around till we realized we missed our shuttle and luckily todd, like he always can do in a pinch...met a guy who took us back to the zoo. Grabbed some pizza out of the fridge and passed out hard....till i got up 4 hours later to drive home still buzzing....Great, great night.

I've got a big boozin' weekend ahead

Alright..i'm in for a big few days..well, a big few days for me. Friday, all day, Todd and I are going to downtown Detroit for the superbowl festivities wearing our matching spielman jerseys. We will look gay and play it up even more. It should be a blast...Rencen/cobo/ford field, thebars, the parties, etc. I'm sure we'll be drinkin' a lot and get stuck having to pee while on the people mover, but it i'm pretty excited for it. I hope i don't pass out on the peoplemover..see inset

Then, I come home early sat..hang with the girls all day..and at night I will got to Wanty's house for his UFC party of lidell and cotoure...i like the UFC and haven't hung with kev in a while, so i know it will be a good time. I haven't met A TON of his new friends down there and they all think i don't exist according to him, so i'll sure come up with some fun angle on that.

Then, i come home early sunday morning and hang with the girls, and then go over to Mckillen's house for the superbowl and some poker. Basically, i'm gonna drink a ton, and do tons of guy stuff, of which, I don't do nearly enuff of. So, i'm really looking forward to this weekend. And, i'm leaning heavily to being sick on monday...i think i'll need it.
