New funny email

This one comes from my brother. I stumbled acrosss it the other day when I was cleaning out my inbox at work. I was angry about ordering something on ebay that didn't come as advertised..this was his response. Altho..I'm not sure which was funnier...his email..or the fact the Rocky IV dvd wasn't published yet and he was so anxious to have it he had to try and buy a bootleg copy of it...enjoy.

I've stalked before, remember my Rocky IV dvd incident? Check out thiswebsite.... http://www.555-1212.com/ You can get the guy's phone number if you knowhis address. But the really psycho/cool thing is, you can also get thephone numbers/addresses of all his neighbors too. So you can probably drawup some pretty good threats from that. The guy that screwed me over, alsohad a different email address for his paypal account which you can check outin paypal. I emailed him on that address and it freaked him out pretty bad.I remember, he kept on asking me over and over how I got his other email andphone number. I never told him how I did it, and I also never got my moneyback, but I had some good 'ol fashioned stalking fun with him.

Disgusting

Read the following horrifying review....on "Bareback Mountain" as i call it..

Playing Jack Twist was admittedly a challenge for Gyllenhaal. Yes, Twist is a closeted gay cowboy living in an era and setting where he couldn't be public about his feelings. But he's also a charismatic charmer who coaxes out an incredibly quiet and intense Ennis (Heath Ledger). Actors tend to wince when asked about "chemistry" with a co-star -- they are actors after all; they are paid to make it appear natural. But, Gyllenhaal and Ledger (who gives a career-defining performance) obviously have something special on screen in "Brokeback." Moviegoers have to believe their relationship would last for decades, and the early (and only) love scene is a big test in that regard.
\r\n "The best metaphor I can give [on doing the scene] is that \r\n it felt like ... when you\'re terrified of the water, you see a \r\n little kid thrown in and they\'re trying to get back to the \r\n boat as fast as they can," Gyllenhaal says. "But at the same \r\n time, when we were there, we really went for it. We knew we \r\n had to consummate this somehow. It couldn\'t just be a story \r\n about friendship, because there\'s a part of two people \r\n connecting intimately, sexually, that drives that intimacy \r\n through the years." Still, Gyllenhaal\'s take on \r\n both characters differs from the film\'s director, producer, \r\n screenwriter and Annie Proulx, who wrote the original short \r\n story on which the movie is based. It may also frustrate some \r\n of his and the movie\'s fans.\r\n "I think it surprises people when I say, \'I think these two \r\n guys are straight, and yet they find each other somewhere.\' \r\n And I think that people are like, \'What\'s that mean?\' \r\n and ... I don\'t really know. I just think that we\'re both \r\n being somewhere -- servicing a story that is so much bigger \r\n than both of us and everybody involved."\r\n Audiences and critics may not agree with Gyllenhaal\'s \r\n evaluation of Jack and Ennis\' sexuality, but they will be hard \r\n pressed not to praise his \r\n performance.\r\n\r\n",0]

I really don't know where to begin with this..so much to say...first of all...Who in the name of Abe Vigoda thought makin' a flick about 2 gay cowboys would go over? Now, i can see women going to see this...but if any guy EVER sees this movie they have something wrong. Seriously. I mean, this would be the worst date flick ever. I can't even imagine my reaction if I knew someone who got dragged to this flick by their old lady...The best line of the review to me is the part how "Jack Twist was a cowboy who lived in an era where it wasn't acceptable to come out with his sexuality..." WHEN DID THAT ERA END?? That could destroy every cowboy song ever written..and one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite all time songs "Every Rose has it's Thorn" By Poison.."Every Cowboy..sings a sad, sad song..." ugh..it makes me sick now.

Of course, the unintentional comedy is at a 10 out of 10 when the cowboy's names are Jack Twist and Ennis. The name Jack is connotative on it's own..Twist is even worse..and the other character's name rhymes with Penis?? I don't know why i haven't written a screenplay yet....

The real troublesome thing to me is this flick will get oscar mention as well as the actors cause it's a unique roll..i mean come on. You may as well give the Oscar to Jackie Chan for best adaptation of a novel if you give these guys a nomination..alright, i'm done. I'm a little upset about it..but on the bright side it did get Viggo Mortensens' "nut face" out of my mind from the movie "History of Violence" shudder....

It's a sad day

"Alias," AKA Canceledby Joal Ryan Nov 23, 2005, 5:45 PM PT
Some spies are felled by poison darts. For Sydney Bristow, the culprit was the curse of Mork & Mindy.
Bristow went down Wednesday, with ABC confirming what the Nielsen ratings had been saying all season: Alias is done.

The Emmy-winning action-spy series that made a brand-name star of Jennifer Garner will air its final episode in May, the network said.
Alias' exit makes it the latest series to meet its end on ABC in the 8 p.m., Thursday time slot. No scripted show has survived more than a year there since Mork & Mindy was canceled in 1982. Claire Danes (My So-Called Life), James Denton (Threat Matrix) and Benjamin Bratt (Knightwatch) are among the stars who needed other vehicles--and time slots--to achieve more lasting success.
ABC moved Alias to Thursday nights on the heels of its most successful season ever airing on Wednesday nights after Lost. And so a show that averaged more than 10 million viewers became a show that averages about 7 million viewers. Not that ABC didn't have its reasons for throwing Alias to the sharks. For one, Invasion is pulling slightly bigger numbers in its freshman year on Wednesday nights than Alias was pulling in its fourth year. And for another, Alias just looked like a show that was about done with its mission.
Garner got pregnant, necessitating a jump-the-shark story line in which her Bristow alter ego got pregnant, too; and, creator J.J. Abrams got Tom Cruise, landing a gig writing and directing Mission: Impossible 3.
Even with the writing on the wall in big, bold letters, Alias executive producer Jeff Pinkner said in a statement that the crew was "very saddened to face reality that Alias is coming to an end." He promised a "surprising" and "thrilling" finale.
Not scheduled to air for the remainder of November sweeps, Alias will return with new episodes in December, before taking an eight-week break starting in January--the better to allow Garner, due to deliver her and husband Ben Affleck's first child any week now, some down time. The show will return in March and run through the end of the season.
Technically, ABC did not uncharitably cancel Alias on the day before Thanksgiving. Rather, under the cover of long holiday weekend media darkness, it announced that the "countdown to [the] Alias series finale" could begin.
Alias, which premiered on ABC on Sept. 30, 2001, joins the WB's 7th Heaven as long-running series bowing out in May.
In other departure news, E! Online television columnist Kristin Veitch reported Wednesday that CBS has pulled the plug on freshman sci-fi series Threshold. The show ran a distant third in its time slot on Tuesday night.

Random funny email

I did this earlier with my friend Jeff..this one comes from my buddy Plop. I thought I was done blogging for a couple days..but this just struck me as being really random and funny so I wanted to post it. He's a HUGE pro wrestling fan, which lots of us were but have since cooled off on it dramatically...he still has a soft spot for the sport tho.. pic included

Freebirds 4 Life!!

I went to a WWE event in Saginaw about a year and a half ago and I saw Michael P.S. Hayes in the hall, he was in front of me in line. He ordered the Nachos with everything, a hot dog and a large coke. I got the same thing, I figured if it was good for him it was good for me!!

My favorite Thanksgiving Story EVER

Well, i'm not sure If i'll be posting tomorrow or not..so i'm doin' two blog entries tonight. Thanksgiving is just two short days away and I thought I would share my all time favorite story which happened on this day. Of course to have achieved such lofty status the story obviously occurred at someone else's expense...in this case my dad's.

My dad is bald. Like very bald. Anywho, one year we went to Weber's for dinner..(which i'm doin' this year too actually). We were there with my brother, mom, and grandparents. The baldness of my dad is critical here, because when he eats certain foods, his head will sweat...and by sweat, I mean drip sweat. It really can be a borderline swell of perspiration when it builds up after the right combination of food. So, i don't recall what it was, but he ate something that just set that skull off in a symphony of glistening awkwardness. My dad was/is very paranoid about it. He took a napkin and wiped it clean..and leaned over and said "josh, did i get it all?" and i said "sure did". It was cool as a cucumber...for about 5 minutes. It began streaming again and he took the same aforementinoed napkin and began dabbing it again..when all of a sudden the waitress came back. I said "Dad!! The waitress is coming!!" Cause i knew he wouldn't want her to see him doing that..he immediately yanked the napkin off his head in mid swabbing. Unfortunately..in his haste...half the napkin stuck to his head unbeknownst to him. The waitress came over to see how things were, I of course couldn't answer because i was curled up in a ball on the floor in tears as she kept glancing at my dad's head. After she left I tipped him off as to what the joke was and he was HOT.

He laughs it now...but I will never forget that 3x5 inch square of wet tissue affixed to my dad's wet scalp that fateful thanksgiving meal.

Ugh

What a long month ahead of me....Over the next 45 days I have to secure a lender and loan for my soon to be underway to be built home...help the girls with the transition of me not living in the house the are used too...find a place of my own for 6 months or so while my new one is under construction, get thru thanksgiving, christmas and new years with all the obligations and events that go along with them, move to this new place..and complete the second busiest month of the year at work...as well as finalizing my divorce and figuring out who gets what yet between Shan and I...oh, and dealing with other people's views of people who are going thru a divorce..but that's a whole nother' entry.

Needless to say I've been working A LOT lately. It's really been the best thing i've been doing over the past 6 -8 months. Huge help in releiving tension and stress..plus, i'm tired and not anxious about any of the upcoming events. I'm down to 208 pounds..I think weight wise i'm about where i'll be as long as i don't go McDonalds on myself again...I havne't had fast food once all year...I never thought i'd do that...unless you count the occasional soft taco i nab from scootie when he gets home..but those don't qualify. No McD's..WEndy's, or BK...man, I can't believe that...

um/osu

Ugh..what a crap game..mich played conservatively from start to finish...i think they've really lost confidence in the qb...only thing i can think of...but man, they played that whole game not to lose. Really..they were lucky to be where they were...the D played zone the whole game and I can't remember one blitz or man to man pick up...oh well. I'm sure they'll love the alamo bowl or where ever else they end up at.

The tailgate before hand tho was a lot of fun. Thanks to Paul and his crew for some good food and laughs. I never got to use the sacred "club house pee pass" but i hear it was fantastic. I drank quite a bit...but again..barely had to pee once after we got into the stadium...awesome. I was freakin' pooped after that game..picked up the girls and we were all in bed by 8..really. I know..that's sad..but i was freakin' exhausted..and deyhydrated. I got sunburned/windburned...can't tell which really...

I'll have more this week..with the long weekend, i should have some good stories..i got to get to bed so i can get up at scot's and make into work to some cardio before 8...

Random Crap

Alright, it's been a stressful couple days for me, but in the time, i've got some things that i've thought of that I thought i'd share:

1) Shakira's next album is entitled "Oral Fixations" Apparently there's a volume 1 & 2...really. That is the most desperate title designed solely to sell on it's name cause the music is sure to suck, i've ever heard.

2) The pistons are 7-0..lookin' good...of course the tix are up on price now too...

3) I haven't been calling people back as well as I should...I'm sorry.

4) I'm tailgating saturday with my brother for the UM/OSU game..should be pretty drunk...but the game will sober me up in time to get the girls on the way home and enjoy a nice headache the rest of the day.

5) A good story to share...Shelly and i were walking to the car the other day when we noticed a "small person" had parked next to us. I saw this coming, but couldn't stop it..as soon as he reached us side by side i hear this "daddy, looooook...that guy is sooooo little huh?!..and hey, look at his car daddy!! He drives a little car too!! That's funny huh daddy!!!" Ugh..but the car part got me.

6) Did anyone else notice what's happening with adam sandler lately? I always thought he peeked while on MTV's Remote Control with the insatiable Kari Wuhrer and the immortal Ken Ober...although I enjoyed his flicks up to Happy Gilmore. Since then tho..he went into a generic ripoff of the same kind of schtick for each subsequent flick..till lately..when it got worse. Spanglish??? Come on!! Seriously..NOBODY wants to see him in a role like that...so what does he follow it up with? Well, he just signed on today to star in a 9/11 movie as a man who's family died in the attacks on NYC. He stars with Don Cheadle, who I can see in a serious role anytime..but Sandler?? Come on? What's next? Jim Varney in a remake of the Chernobyl incident? Ugh.

Jeff McCalla

I've been in a pretty foul mood lately...I got this email from my buddy Jeff who travels overseas to SE Asia and Thailand a lot..which also I guess is considered SE Asia..but anywho, it's worth a good read..especially the part about his penis..if you know jeff and/or have seen his penis..it's an even funnier read....

"My bad...I have a couple of minutes, so I want to leave this thought in yourhead. I can't believe I almost forgot to tell you. Here is the real question of the day: Do you have any male suppliers, customers or co-workers that you can think of that you would feelcomfortable going into a hot spring pool with totally buck naked and talkbusiness and/or shop?Let me tell you my recent experience is one I hope never to repeat. I wascaught off guard, my distributor takes me up the mountains to this hotspring, which apparently is a big asian thing, they love it for some reason, just a big natural hot tub is all (and reeks of sulfur). Anywho, so theytake me to this place and I figured we would be wrapped in towels...oh no,full monty baby. So for me it's a bit awkward to try and feel comfortablearound these guys and talk business while they are hanging out right infront of me. The only plus is that my cock really looked huge in a pool fullof Asian men...there was a lot of penis envy going on that day. I don'tthink I'll be invited back, plus mine was the only circumsized one in thebunch...they don't like that too much over here.Later."

Don't Sweat the Small Things

Tonight, I'm sitting out at Scot's watching tv and goofin' around on the net. Figured it would be a good night to to update the blog, cause, well, i'm bored. Anywho, lots of things went thru my mind about a potential good topic to write about...but one really stuck out to me. Don't sweat the small stuff.

It's something Elaine used to say to me all the time when i'd get torked off about something stupid. I blocked it out usually, but like most things she says or does, it was right. Why in life do we worry about things that we have no control or say over what happens? Why worry about something that already happened when IT"S ALREADY HAPPENED? Obviously, if you regret it, you'd change it. You know that now, so why worry about it? It's over. Done. Fini'. Why worry about things in the future? We aren't in the future. We can't control the future. We can just do the best with what we have and with what we can do at the present. That's all that matters. If you are cognizant of the future, and understand what is coming down the road, you can adjust your present to be ready for it.

I've had a lot of things over my life that i've dreaded, worried about, stressed over and tried to avoid. Looking back on them...90% were'nt important. Just things in life I had to deal with. The other 10% dealt with my girls, my mom being sick when i was young, becoming handicapped and my divorce. I stopped worrying about things like money, what i can afford, where i work, what i wear, who says what..etc. It's not important. I want to be happy and focusing on what is important makes that happen. I don't stresss the little things anymore.

My advice for the day is this...when you are on your deathbed...what will you think about? You will think about who you love and the good times you had with those people. Focus on those now and you'll be a happy person :)

That's it for my lesson..tomorrow i'll go back to small penis jokes and man boob cracks.

What's going on....

Well, tomorrow is a big day. I go in to sign the purchase agreement on my soon to be built home. I decided after much deliberation, to stay in Dexter. I personally, really wanted to go somewhere else. Pinckney, was my first choice. Chelsea and Ann arbor were shortly after, but in the end, I'll be in contention for my 15 year class reunion to win the award for "person who had the shortest drive to get here".

It was what was best for the girls I decided. They should stay in the same town each week so if they want to see their mom, or deda, or friends, it won't be a big deal. I'm buying a home off jackson road, just west of Parker. Sub is called Thornton Farms and I will be in the "marquette" on lot 76. It's 1900 sq feet and back against a tree line and decent sized creek, so for a sub as big as this one will be, i won't have many neighbors. It's the biggest lot in the sub, and i really wanted the girls to have some room to play in. The sub will be good with it's sidewalks and families for them i think, plus a pool! Which i know they will love! Financially, it's a lateral move. So my cost of living will be about the same....and i'm hoping building a home gives me something to do, but i'm sure some stress as well..but the good kind.

Work is goin' pretty well too. I had a great October, and am off to a really good start in November too. My main focus over the next 45 days is to get the girls ready for me leaving them half the week at the end of December and finding a place to rent for 5 or 6 months while my house is being built....So, i'll have plenty to do.

Here's a link of the pad...tell me what you think if you like :http://www.centexhomes.com/Detroit/351845_Plan.html I have the B elevation..the one in the middle

Jeff's Party

Went up to Jeff's house saturday night with Scot for Jeff's 30th birthday party. Good time. Drank a lot...good food too. AND we played Texas Hold em'...I won again. It really bugs Scot that I'm a superior hold em' player compared to him when I only play a couple times a year and always win and he plays daily and can't beat me. Yes, I will bring this up often now..especially after he threw me down the stairs in front of michelle Weinert bringin' up our date from high school that didn't go smooth. Thanks again Dic.

Anywho, good time, Jeff some got some good stuff..we left early today and after 2 stops at McDonalds on the way home, got back around 9ish...THEN..i had to take Shelly to a birthday party at Colonial Lanes...rock a bowl is the last place you want to be hung over as is...let alone rock a bowl at a kids birthday party. It was merciless...but Shelly had a real good time, so it was worth it. That's it for today..no links, i'm still playin' with the one from yesterday.

YOUNG GUNS

This movie has a very special place in my heart. When my mom first started getting sick with cancer we brought in a health aid Marie to help take care of her during the day. Every tuesday My mom and Marie would go to a matinee at briarwood and the pizza hut for lunch after. In the summer, i'd tag along sometimes (i was about 12 i think at the time) Jeff would come too often. Anyways, this movie in particulare, i really didn't want to see. From the previews it reminded me of some kind of NKOTB movie or something for young girls to watch. I went anyway, as this was the Apex of my chubby stage and I couldn't refuse pizza hut after. To my surprise this became one of my all -time favorite movies. It also ended up being the last movie I ever saw with my mom as I became busier and she became too sick to go to these shows shortly after. So i'm very fond of it for personal reasons as well as story reasons.

The story I won't rehash, i'm guessin' most folks have seen it or enuff of it to know it's about Billy the Kid and his quest for revenge. Looking back on it, it's still a good story that holds up action wise to today's movies. I'm not a big Emilio Estevez fan, but I loved his smartass role in this. He nailed it. I still get choked up when Charlie and Dirty Steve die, and when Chavez returns with the horses. How many movies have Charlie Sheen AND Emilio Estevez been in together anyway? I can think of 2..this one..and Men At Work..which I also saw unfortunately. That alone tho, makes it a must see.

Now of course, one of the other characters to die was the benevolent cattle rancher alex..aka LOCK from LOST. He's come a long way...his acting weren't dat good as sammy sosa would say. I think what makes it tho are two things 1) Jack Palance as the bad guy...him and Jon Black from days of our lives had more deep breaths per second than anyone else on tv/film EVER. He's the best. and 2) the scenery, just beautiful and really well characterized for the period.

Now, Young Guns II I also enjoyed, but not to the same level...Christian Slater was surprisingly tolerable in this flick and I liked how it was a flashback told by a modern day 1950's Billy the Kid to capitalize on the rumors he may really have lived thru Fort Sumter and the shot in the back from Pat Garrett. Watching this movie again tho last night tipped off two more reasons I like it now. 1) Balthazaar Getty is in it as a vagabond youth..who, of course now, is the main character on ALIAS this season and 2) Viggo Mortensen..the man who's nut face I still can't get out of my mind was a friend of the federal government in the pic and a bad guy too.

Link of the day is AWESOME: It ties into the SNL post from yesterday..some real awesome skits..when Will Ferrell comes out in the first one, the whole cast loses it..but this site has some of teh all time bests..INCLUDING EVERY SNL JEOPARDY EPISODE EVER..check it ou

What Nut Face do you have?

This topic came after thinking about the history of violence..a movie with viggo mortenson and maria bello. (I will post later on my thoughts of the BrokeBack Mountain preview we were subjected to seeing i haven't come fully to terms with that yet). Anywho, Maria Bello is hot. Viggo has just some real awkward facial expressions. Watching him 69 with Maria was really not cool..but his nutface was aweful. I mean, I reallly didn't pay to see that. It was a cross between Burgess Meredith in Rocky and Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football away. Just goofy.

Anywho, check this link out..i hate to say it..but I think i'm smack dab between Tom cruise and Lance Armstrong....

Best Saturday Night Live skits ever

SNL has gone down hill pretty dramatically lately..but there have been some awesome skits over the years. Please leave some of your own fav's on the comments tab, but here's some of mine....

The Jeopardy skits with Will Ferrell: All time favorites here. Esp when Sean Connery is involved.."I'll take the rapist for 400 Alex." All of em' get me everytime. ferrell had tons more..the naked paint subject..the angry dad "get off the roof or i will beat you!!" or the "I drive a Dodge stratus!!"..many more.

Chris Farley skits...the ones where everyone else in the skit would start cracking up (not in the way jimmy fallon did on EVERY skit, but when Farley was on, he was untouchable. The motivational speaker that lives in the van down by the river..or when he was the naggy wife to adam sandlers grumpy old man...da bears..or when him, sandler and spade did their high school girl skits at the mall..i miss that guy.

I loved the mike myers "middle aged man skits" esp when farley would come in as "drinkin' buddy" always hilarious.

And finally, when Phil Hartman did his Frank Sinatra impression...makin' fun of the women around him..etc..great stuff.

Sad now..the show sucks..but there were some good ones!!

Link of the day: http://wwtdd.com/index.php?type=one&i=263

i think this was the next logical step....

Halloween is over

I used to LOVE Halloween when i was a little guy..which was like when i was 9 and under ( I hit a fat stage from 10-14). Kids today got it good. All the big subdivisions with houses right on top of each other. My brother, Rupert and Nathan would walk our old neighborhood together with each house having close to an acre of property. It was a 4 hour deal to get 1/4 of the candy today's kids can have. AND...i saw several girls probably 12-15 dressed like hookers or school girls..come on. Nobody wants to see that..esp a dad with two little girls. Freakin' chicks..man!

I got a good buzz on tho. Third Halloween in a row to bring that mission to a successful finish. Less kids then normal too, but Shelly and Carly had fun...Shelly mostly..Carly wouldn't get off my lap. Nothin' real eventful outside of AL gettin' a few disgusted looks from patrons when he jumped out from behind parked cars to grab them. I had some good one-liners about Shan's friend Gena...she had broken her hand and it was in a permanent crescent moon shape...i had several pretty good zingers on that hand.

I've got a new plan for where i'm gonna live too. Not 100% sure on it yet...I'll talk more on it tomorrow...but here's a sample of what to look forward too..it's nice, cheap and no, it ain't my prom date from highschool.

Before the link of the day...one of my newest readers mentioned two great movies that I hadn't commented on. Couldn't agree more that they both are classics. 1) Vacation/Christmas Vacation with chevy Chase..probably Chevy's only good flicks in my mind I still can watch anytime today. Man, Christie Brinkley brought me into manhood with a white dress, red ferrari and legs up to her chin. But i digress...Both those flicks are great..comedy all the way the thru. and 2) Goodfella's. Ray Liotta's peak as an actor, unless you count No escape when he's a prisoner on a self-contained island, but we really shouldn't. Joe Pesci broke out in this flick and subsequently followed it up with My Cousin Vinny? Unreal. Still, how it's told, the acting, story line and how it affects the actors as time unfolds..it's a great movie. NOW GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX!!

Anywho, heres' the link: http://www.comcast.net/entertainment/index.jsp?fn=81488.html This is the best ink this guy has had since "Pump Up the Volume" went to DVD.
